 'Sofia': Halle Berry's character in 'John Wick' may win a spin-off film

During an interview on The Joe Rogan Experience , Chad Stahelski , director of the

 popular ' John Wick ' franchise, revealed plans to expand the universe of hired killers.

Stahelski confirmed that there are ongoing discussions for the creation of a spin-off centered on the character of Sofia, played by Halle Berry in the third film.

“Yes (there is the possibility). In fact, we've been in conversations several times to try… I hate that term, spin-off. But, they're trying to do other satellite projects outside of the Wick franchise. I hope they're good." 

The sequel ' John Wick 4: Baba Yaga ' surpassed the impressive mark of US$ 400 million at the worldwide box office, consolidating itself as the biggest global collection of the franchise.

The previous record holder, ' John Wick 3: Parabellum ', had grossed US$ 328.3 million worldwide in 2019.

In the US, the fourth chapter of the saga has already grossed US$ 176.1 million . On the international market, it was US$ 226 million . 

In total, the production already adds up to US$ 402.1 million worldwide – which represents the third highest grossing of the year, behind only ' Super Mario Bros ' (US$ 1B) and ' Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania ' (US$ 474.5 M).
