 Online rumors about Jennie Kim leaving BLACKPINK have been making an appearance recently, mostly on the Chinese social networking site Weibo.

According to a number of remarks on the forum, Jennie's contract with YG Entertainment will soon expire. One user even said, "Based on the latest reliable source, Jennie will terminate her contract with YG Entertainment after the Encore concerts."

The news spread quickly on the website as more posts started to appear, with admirers claiming that Jennie's most recent stage performances fell short of her customary appearances. Not long after Jennie made her acting debut in HBO's The Idol, there were reports that she might join the MCU, release her first collection with Calvin Klein, and more. Most recently: 

collaborating with Dua Lipa on a podcast episode. Therefore, it wouldn't be entirely unexpected to see Jennie going her own way, especially in light of Weibo's hints that other group members would be following suit.
