In ongoing meeting with Film Mix, Barbie film chief Greta Gerwig has communicated her failure that
her recently arranged Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet appearances didn't get to occur. Gerwig
2017's Lady Bird and 2019's Little Women.
Why didn't Timothée Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan film their Barbie cameos?
The well-known filmmaker stated that she felt like she was doing something "without [her] children"
when she directed Barbie without Chalamet and Ronan. Due to scheduling conflicts, the specialty
cameo featuring the Oscar-nominated duo did not take place.
“Well, because she was actually producing at the time, for which I am so proud of her, it was always
cameo. I was also going to do a special cameo with Timmy, but they both couldn't, which irritated me
so much. But they are so dear to me. However, it felt like something I could do without my children.
Well, I'm not their mother, but rather I kind of feel like their mother."
Greta Gerwig, who was nominated for an Oscar, directs Barbie from a screenplay she co-wrote with
Noah Baumbach. Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Scott
Evans, Kate McKinnon, Ariana Greenblatt, Alexandra Shipp, Emma Mackey, Issa Rae, Michael Cera,
