Zoe Saldaña reacts to the delay of 'Avatar 5': "I will be 53 years old when it comes out"
Release dates for the next three films in the 'Avatar' franchise have been pushed back and Zoe Saldana
has realized how old she will be when the last film hits theaters in 2031.
After Disney announced the delay of its release schedule for the next few years, Zoe Saldaña , who
starred in the acclaimed animated film ' Avatar ', will see the end of the franchise 22 years after the first
film. Now that the next three installments of the story created by James Cameron have been delayed,
the actress reacted in a very peculiar way on social networks.
"Great! I 'm going to be 53 when the latest ' Avatar ' comes out," Saldaña posted in an Instagram story. "
I was 27 when I shot the first ' Avatar '."
His co-star, Sam Worthington , who plays Jake Sully in the film series, will be 55 years old when the
latest ' Avatar ' movie is released in theaters. While Cameron will be 77 years old.
'Avatar: The Shape of Water' , the first sequel to the franchise was released last December, 13 years
after the first installment. Its success was imminent and broke records by positioning itself asthe highest
grossing film in historywith a total oftwo thousand 900 million dollars.
Some doubted the potential of the second installment, but Cameron 's mouths dropped after the film
generated $2.3 billion in sales worldwide and became the third-highest-grossing movie ever.
Disney postponed its release schedule, so the third tape will go from 2024 to December 2025, while '
Avatar 4 ' will go to December 21, 2029 and ' Avatar 5 ' to December 19, 2031.
Recently, director James Cameron revealed that the third film will introduce the antagonists of the Na'vi
people. He also stated that he already recorded most of the scenes for the third and fourth installments
to prevent the passing of time on its actors and protagonists from being too noticeable.
