 Hollywood star and action hero Jennifer Lawrence has often displayed her comedic side and spontaneity on TV shows and red carpets, but for the first time she unleashes all that potential in a tailor-made film, No Hard Feelings, which featured this Wednesday in Madrid.

"It's the most fun I've ever had," the winner of two Oscars and star of the blockbuster saga The Hunger Games told EFE, who plays a woman who sees the perfect solution to her economic problems when reading an ad for some parents looking for a girl to date their introverted 19 year old son and hatch him. 

The director, Gene Stupnitsky -screenwriter of The office for five years-, was a friend of Lawrence and one day over dinner he showed the actress the real advertisement that had been published. "We had a good laugh wondering what kind of parents would do something like that and who would respond to it."

Four years later, she gave him the script for the film, which opens this Friday in the United States.

"It's a movie written for her," admits Stupnitsky, "I chose it because I knew how much fun it is about her and I wanted to show it to the world and on the other hand, 

A mother for just over a year, the protagonist of American Hustle (2014) and Silver Linings Playbook (2012) says she can perfectly understand "helicopter" parents like those who give life in the film Matthew Broderick -a nod to the 80's comedies- and Laura Benanti.

"Everyone wants the best for their children, you want to protect them and it can get out of hand, surely I will also have elements of that and other things that I will have to work on," she says.

During a brief five-minute meeting with EFE in Madrid, Lawrence sat barefoot and was accompanied by Andrew Barth Feldman., his co-star, 21-year-old actor and singer, hailing from the Broadway musical theater and who also starred in the Disney series High School Musical.


"He is very funny and he also knows how to show emotions, it is clear that he is going to be a great actor," says Stupnitsky of him.

Feldman recognizes some of the problems of Percy, his character, as typical of his generation, in relation to living through screens locked in a room, with the Internet, video games and social networks, but little interaction with life. real.

"I think it's possible to have a healthy relationship with social networks," says the actor, "you have to set limits, I've done it, you have to use them as you would like them to be used, to spread good things and communicate, the good thing is that the networks can be what you want them to be, although they can also absorb you".

Lawrence created her own production company in 2018 and has just presented a documentary on the situation of women in Afghanistan after the return of the Taliban to power, by Afghan filmmaker Sahra Mani, at the Cannes Film Festival.

  For a few years he has also collaborated with an American NGO focused on the fight against corruption in his country, Represent Us. Although her publicist asks that she not be asked questions about politics, and specifically about Donald Trump, the actress is willing to comment on her work as an activist. "We have had important achievements in this time, in North Dakota or Minnesota," she says, "the idea is to promote the approval of anti-corruption laws at the local level, state by state, to achieve change at the federal level," she explains.
